CHILE

This project is about the protests which happened in Chile, using open source records of these events on Twitter, Facebook, online newspapers from around the world and other social media. We gathered all the information, such as news' pieces and photos, in order to create two editorial publications: one only containing the photographic coverage of the protest, and the second only using type and text from the online newspapers. For the photographic publication, we combined different books with various lengths, to reflect the evolution and the environment lived during the protests throughout the last four years, making it so that the images get more chaotic and distorted as we move through the pages. For the text publication, we decided to make it as if it was a big receipt, directly connecting to the initial reason behind the protests (the increasing prices of the subway and bus tickets), and we used the news' pieces from our research as the main written element.
