This project consisted on choosing an important aspect inside the city of Porto and creating an illustrated concept map regarding those elements. I chose to represent 10 concert venues in the city of Porto that I attend regularly, because it's a subject I'm more familiar with and interested in. I was also captivated by the idea that I can make the map for future reference of places where music shows used to be held, knowing how this city is constantly changing and we see more and more of these spaces ‘dying’.

For the representation of the theme itself, I focused on elements that are present in most concert venues and are essential for creating music, which are the pedals, synthesizers and cables scattered everywhere. With these elements in mind, I started by sketching an idea of a foot that presses on the pedals, in a surrounding that represents the city of Porto, with the bottles of port wine or the portuguese floor work.

For the idea of the map itself, I thought of using the cables as a way of connecting the different locations to each other, and of representing the streets of the actual map. The cluster of cables would be an element to highlight the river and give a sense of space in the city of Porto.
